Happy Transformation Tuesday Thursday!
I missed out on Transformation Tuesday because I was having a lady date with my lovely and lively grandmother. We had lunch at Olive Garden, did some shopping at Target, and of course had to pick up some yarn at Michael’s (they had cotton on sale)!
I thought I would still take the opportunity to update everyone on Sweater-gate. I am about a third of the way done now with the pattern. It is working up bigger now that I have relaxed on my tension. I will say though if the pattern needed the tension that loose they could have adjusted the hook size or even added more stitches.
Even with the relaxed tension it is still not measuring where it should. I don’t know if that is to give it room to relax and stretch, or if the stitches are still too tight (even though the yarn is slack on the hook). Either way I am going to work it through the end of the neck and if it is too small I will frog it back out to before the neck and add in a few rows, that way I will not loose too much time and patience.
Behold: A quarter of a sweater!

In other news I am preparing for the local interstate fair. I have to have my entry for postmarked by next Tuesday, even though the entries are not due until September 8th. It makes me wonder how productive I can be in the next month. I am thinking I can be pretty productive (most likely this means I will over commit and be up all hours of the night on the 7th). Woo, yarn adventure!
What’s everyone else working on? Is anyone else going to enter a fair?
Happy Hooking and (k)Nifty Knitting!
