How cute is this idea?  Vintage crochet hot pads arranged on a wall as decor in a kitchen!  I will have to add this to my list of must tries, although I think I will make my own using vintage patterns.

This was found on Pinterest and was credited to bestfreecrochet.com (there were also some amazing free potholder patterns on this site to get you started)!

When I was little my grandmother used to crochet dresses for my Barbie dolls.  I have a beautiful wedding dress and bridesmaid dress.  One of these days I will dig them out and post a picture.  In the meantime I will share this vintage pattern book cover I found on Pinterest!  Did anyone else have hand made doll clothes?

Have a great Throwback Thursday!

After my Christmas trip to a lovely warm climate I am craving some warm weather.   I found this vintage photo on Pinterest.  I don’t know if I could trust a knit/crochet swimsuit, I am sure at one point these were the pinnacle of fashion.   Unfortunately all I can think about is the fabric stretching and gaping (eeek).  Also there may be some odd tan lines…

Throwback Thursday! 10/31/2013

With all the Halloween festivities I almost forgot one of my favorite days of the week :). This is before the time of chunky knit sweaters.  All the way back to a time when a man could grace the front of a pattern book clutching his favorite duck decoy, with his two friends who love to golf and ski respectively.

I found this sweet knit pattern book on Pinterest.

Clicking on the photo will take you to the original site.
